Week 18 : Heart
This year in Our 52, we are all striving to become better storytellers.
The best way I've found is by reaching into my heart and creating images filled with meaning. I like to recognize that these are the days I will cherish. Right here, right now. One day these photographs will be treasured by us and those we love. The next time you take a photograph really tune in to your heart. Imagine what it will feel like to view that photograph in ten years time – how it’ll take you back and move you.
Hold onto that feeling and tell the story of your life at this very moment.
A huge thank you to all of the incredibly talented artists who shot from their heart this week.

Heart by Jill Wagner
What one picture could reveal to you my heart? Which facet do I show? There are the pieces that have been broken, now healed but scarred. Spaces that have been filled by the very best I could ever have hoped for. Empty voids created by the leaving of loved ones. There’s the part that belongs solely to my husband. Each of my children own their own unique portion. There are days my heart is closed off and overwhelmed and days where it is wide open and bursting. And so, I’ve pondered what, if anything, has been the one constant, overriding theme of my heart and have realized it has been my forever desire to be a mom. And that’s what I am. A mom. A mom who loves deeps and fiercely (and sometimes overwhelmingly) and who’s lucky enough to have kids who can take it all in stride knowing it comes from the very best place - the heart of a mother's love.
